the must social service team supervised by the student affairs office held an "oasis action" booth for charity fundraising at the lobby of block b and block n on february 26th and 27th ,2024, respectively. as one of the organizers in the macau sar, the must continues to respond to "oasis action" launched by the chinese educators association of macau, helping children from desertification and remote areas in mainland china and improves the educational environment and the quality of education.
the booth hosted a charity sale on campus, featuring postcards showcasing university scenery designed by team members, as well as university souvenirs and trinkets. during the event, teachers and students who passed by the booth also came to show their support, contributing their own efforts to the activity. all of the funds raised will be donated to the chinese educators association of macau in order to support national ecological environment construction and promote the development of education.
since 2006, "oasis action" has been raising funds for underprivileged children in the arid areas of northwestern china. over the years, it has garnered the attention and support of teachers and students in macau, spreading love and upholding the noble virtues of chinese traditional culture in aiding others. in the future, the social service team will continue to embrace the spirit of "mutual love, mutual help," support public welfare activities, and remain attentive to individuals affected by natural disasters and conflicts worldwide. the team hopes to inspire students' compassionate hearts and encourage them to engage in more acts of kindness to bring about positive change in the world.
