2.duration of the programme 

the normal duration of the programme is 36 months in which 12 months are for coursework studies and 24 months are for research works and dissertation writing. the maximum course duration will be 60 months. coursework will be arranged during weekdays from monday to friday.

* except the compulsory courses, 12 credits are required by taking the above elective courses 

(2) second year and aboveresearch work and dissertation writing(24 months) 

student should finish their research work and complete the phd thesis under the supervision of corresponding supervisors. students are required to perform literature review on related researchtopics, and able to conduct experiments independently withgood researchability.students are also required to publish at least two academic papers in a recognized chinese journal at provincial level of china or one article in international sci journal during his/her study periods. 

5.examination and assessments 

(1)    students are required to complete 5 compulsory courses and acquire 12 credits from elective courses. a total of 29 credits together with a pass result in each course is a must. 

2students are required to attend the oral defence presentation and submit their phd thesis for assessment. 

3students who have obtained29 credits and passed the phd oral defenceexaminationare eligible to apply for the doctoraldegree of pharmacology in traditional chinese medicine.
