climate change leads to warmer temperatures, alterations in precipitation patterns, heightened occurrence and severity of certain extreme weather phenomena, and a rise in sea levels. these consequences jeopardize our well-being by impacting the quality of our food, drinking water, air, and the nature of our weather. in this event, mbbs students from the faculty of medicine will present posters to discuss the impact of climate change on the following topics:
- climate change factors affecting health
- impact of climate change on respiratory diseases
- impact of climate change on cardiovascular diseases
- impact of climate change on infectious diseases
- impact of climate change on antibiotic resistance
- food supply and nutrition affected by climate change
- excess death as a result of climate change
- what can we do?
